From the start weʼve always meant for the Ghostnet to be a high performance surfskate, first and foremost. That itʼs made from recycled fishing nets saved from polluting the ocean is a bonus. The name refers to the deadly trawl of loose nets drifting the ocean floor, tangling sea life in their ghostly grip. This board is not made from any old plastic; fishing nets need to be strong and durable in extreme condi-tions so they make them out of Nylon6, which also makes for a durable, waterproof board that still retains a little flex for a smooth ride.
We noticed that all other plastic decks rely on a cast-in relief pattern for grip, so they never fully achieve the foot hold we expect for serious surfskate performance. So we inset two full-width grip tape pads for that familiar and reliable connection to your board. Next we created a double kick mold contoured to secure your feet directly over the trucks for maximum control. At 16.5” the wheelbase is at that ideal mid-point where itʼs easy to pump and carve tight turns but holds a fast line, too.
This board has been years in the making, with every curve and contour carefully sculpted with smooth, flowing lines. The shape is inspired by classic wide pool boards so you have the best rail-to-rail lever-age and control possible. The 65mm Roundhouse Slicks complete the build: they run fast down the line with a smooth breakaway feel for controlled slashes and slides. This is truly a one-board quiver meant to take on anything from streets and driveways to skateparks and ditches.
